SAAJ, JAXM, and ebXML

2002-07-09

A presentation by David Wallace Croft to the Web Services Java Users Group.

Abstract. This presentation will introduce the Java API for XML Messaging (JAXM), a standard Java API for asynchronous and synchronous XML messaging for Web Services, plus complimentary technologies such as the SOAP with Attachments API for Java (SAAJ) and the ebXML Message Service Specification. The presentation will also touch upon how JAXM will be implemented in the forthcoming J2EE EJB specification as message-driven beans which is projected to lead to the direct integration of asynchronous Web Services into the workflow and business process integration products from major application server vendors. More information on JAXM is available at http://java.sun.com/xml/jaxm/.
